Job Summary
Support the Shop Manager with daily operations, team development, and fast, friendly customer experience. Serve as Manager on Duty when needed by coordinating workflow, ensuring safety, and keeping the shop running smoothly. Complete Certified Technician training, perform all technician responsibilities, and handle opening/closing procedures. Train new team members, provide real-time coaching, and reinforce service standards and safety requirements. Assist with daily inventory counts, support shop communication and reporting, and identify opportunities for improvement. Model fast, friendly customer service and resolve concerns professionally.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months' customer service experience in a fast-paced service environment
- Minimum 6 months' experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others in a fast-paced environment
- A commitment to following and maintaining facility and safety control policies and practices
- Strong communication skills and comfort providing direction, coaching, and feedback to team members
- Initiative, accountability, and follow-through on responsibilities
- The ability to remain calm, organized, and solutions-focused during busy periods
- The ability to meet applicable age and certification requirements, including Inspector Certification when required
- Reliable transportation to and from your work location
- Lift up to fifty (50) pounds
- Maneuver safely in and out of a shallow 3-foot-deep pit to position yourself under vehicles
- Walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, hold, grasp, pull, and turn for extended periods of time
- Work in hot or cold weather conditions when necessary
