Job Summary
As an Assistant Shop Manager at Take 5 Oil Change, you will support leadership in running a shop location, provide excellent customer service, process payments, and oversee floor operations. You’ll perform oil changes and related light maintenance tasks (oil drain, filter changes, blade/air filter replacements), restock inventory, train new employees, and ensure customer satisfaction. When the Shop Manager is absent, you’ll assume their responsibilities. The role includes paid training, a competitive base pay of $15.00–$18.00 per hour with weekly bonuses, full-time employment, benefits (health, vision, dental, 401(k) match), and opportunities for advancement into leadership positions.
Required Qualifications
- Provide excellent customer service and process payments
- Run the shop floor and ensure staff are in position
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Train new employees to fulfill duties in the Take 5 way
- Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and perform other auto services as necessary
- Restock and maintain inventory levels
- Maintain shop, office, and bathroom cleanliness
- Possess physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Able to maneuver in and out of a shallow pit
- Willing to work in hot/cold weather conditions
- Reliable transportation to and from the shop
