Job Summary
Leverage analytical abilities to derive high-value datasets and insights centered around operational efficiencies, cost optimization, capital deployment, and engineering practices. Work with a group of data scientists to solve complex problems using cutting-edge statistical methods, machine learning, and natural language processing. Manage project timelines by collaborating with internal developers and analysts while developing strong relationships with industry partners. Embrace technologies such as real-time streaming apps, GPU databases, and high-end visualization tools to develop high-performance software. Apply SQL, Python, or R to support broad market trends in Oilfield Services and E&P. Requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, or Engineering with 1-5 years of quantitative analysis experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors or graduate education in Business, Computer Science, Economics, Finance or an Engineering field
- 1-5 years of analysis or similar quantitative area
- demonstrated ability to develop valuable insights that drive change or action
- Knowledge of Machine Learning algorithms, Natural Language Processing (NLP), or other statistical algorithms
- Experience with Oil and Gas, Supply Chain, and/or Capital Budgets
- Technical skills (SQL Server, PL/SQL, R, or Python)
- Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with colleagues and industry representatives
- Experience managing deadlines and expectations in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Willingness and capability to learn new technologies and areas quickly
- Experience using data and metrics to back up assumptions and assertions of business value
Desired Qualifications
- Masters preferred
- An abiding interest in the US Oilfields and upstream innovations which can make it more productive and efficient
