Job Summary
Othello High School is seeking an Assistant Coach for the Boys Basketball program for the 2026-2027 school year. Responsibilities include instructing players in basketball rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques; organizing and directing individual and small group practice activities; assessing players’ skills and monitoring performance; determining game strategy; following district procedures for athlete injuries; distributing uniforms, supplies, and equipment; participating in team activities and ceremonies; maintaining good communication with players and parents; and attending required trainings or meetings as directed by the Athletic Director. The role requires the ability to physically demonstrate movements, lift up to 50 pounds as needed, and comply with district nondiscrimination policies. Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma/GED or equivalent, coaching/playing experience preferred, First Aid/CPR per WIAA guidelines, and any required WIAA trainings.”,
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- Previous coaching/playing experience in basketball (preferred)
- Must have First Aid/CPR card as per WIAA guidelines.
- OSD Type II Driver License Training may be required.
- Completed or will complete all WIAA trainings and requirements.
