Ohio Union Facilities Operations Technician

Provides direction and coordination for maintenance and custodial services to maintain a prescribed level of cleanliness and function to assigned areas. Oversees and coordinates efforts to ensure expedient response for issues during weekends or off hours. Coordinates with the Ohio Union Building Manager to support building operations and events; collaborates with university departments to ensure safety and exterior amenities compliance. Specializes in project work including quality assurance, process improvement, and data collection/review; performs day-to-day cleaning and maintenance tasks as needed. Supervises and coordinates activities of contractors and university partners. Hands-on responsibilities include installs, repairs, replacements, and maintenance of building structure, plumbing and electrical systems, building envelope, floors, and furniture. Responds to housekeeping and maintenance requests, monitors trash removal, inspects buildings/grounds/equipment. May operate departmental vehicles and supports Campus Dining equipment as needed. Schedule is 9:00 pm – 9:00 am with a rotating Thursday–Tuesday cycle including holidays. Final candidates subject to background check and possible drug screen/physical.
