Job Summary
Operate tractor-trailers over long distances between company terminals and customer facilities within the service area, delivering and picking up freight while adhering to DOT regulations for safe driving, hours of service, and vehicle maintenance. Manage Qualcomm ELOGs, read shipping labels, and interpret manifests and freight bills. Maintain a domicile in Canton or Millersburg, Ohio, and be available for around-the-clock shifts requiring 5 to 6 days away from home followed by 48 hours off. Meet medical standards, pass drug and alcohol tests, and possess a valid commercial driver's license with at least one year of tractor-trailer experience. Required Qualifications
- Must possess a valid commercial driver's license
- Must have the ability to read, write, speak English and perform simple mathematical calculations, handle receipts, read maps, road signs
- Must have working knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems
- Must be able to be away from home for 5 or 6 days at a time, followed by 48 hours home time
- Truck must be domiciled in either Canton or Millersburg Ohio
- Must meet or exceed the medical standards of the U.S. Dept. of Transportation
- Must satisfactorily pass a drug test and alcohol test
- Must be available for around the clock shifts to accommodate freight movements
