Job Summary
Radiographic Subject Matter Expert (Level III) leads as the highest-level authority in radiographic testing (RT) under NAS 410, directing technical decision-making, ensuring compliance with NAS 410 and customer/specifications, and driving inspection quality, personnel qualification, and process integrity. Develops and reviews radiographic procedures and work instructions, maintains Written Practice, oversees training, qualification, and certification of NDT personnel, and provides technical leadership to Level I/II inspectors, with responsibilities including documentation, traceability, and reporting of inspection results. Role includes potential relocation support, advancement from Level II to Level III, and travel (approximately 5%). This position emphasizes aerospace/regulated manufacturing experience, audits, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Certification as Radiographic Testing (RT) Level III per NAS 410 (or ability to certify to NAS 410 standards)
- Experience interpreting aerospace standards and technical documentation
- Proven experience developing procedures and leading NDT certification programs
- Strong leadership, communication, and technical decision-making skills
- Training and experience meeting NAS 410 Level III requirements
- Experience with radiographic inspection methods, equipment, and techniques
- Familiarity with multiple NDT methods (UT, PT, MT, VT) preferred
