Job Summary
Coordinate firm compliance operations and risk management initiatives by assisting in the organization and review of background checks for timekeeper candidates. Monitor attorney licensing compliance, review and research compliance requests from attorneys and business professionals, and maintain databases through research, data entry, and information compilation. Prepare various documents, forms, and charts to support Office of General Counsel projects while managing high-volume complex data with attention to detail. Perform database research using public websites and organize information from internal firm sources. Work effectively in a fast-paced legal environment, prioritizing multiple assignments to meet deadlines while maintaining strict confidentiality regarding sensitive OGC work.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2 years demonstrated success working in a fast-paced legal environment
- Demonstrated basic level of proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and database experience
- Office experience in a law firm or other legal environment supporting paralegals and/or attorneys
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention-to-detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments to meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion with regard to the work being managed
- Acute awareness of how information is shared with others
- Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties
- Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence in an efficient and responsive manner
- Provide timely, accurate, and quality work product
- Successfully meet deadlines, expectations, and perform work duties as required
- Foster positive work relationships
- Comply with all firm policies and practices
- Engage in both physical and sedentary activity, such as (a) working at a computer for extended periods of time, including on-screen reading and typing; (b) participating in digital/virtual conference calls; (c) participating in meetings as needed
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment
