Job Summary
Lead offshore operations by providing boots-on-the-ground leadership for load outs, wet towage, deployments, recoveries, moorings, and test campaigns; manage a small team of technicians; coordinate with critical vendors (vessel operators, ports, equipment operators, divers); collaborate with engineering to commission and test new equipment and to improve existing offshore methods; oversee maintenance of owned equipment; interface with regulators (USCG, ABS) as required; drive a safety-first culture while fostering innovation in a high-stakes, fast-paced environment; role includes coordinating planning, lessons-learned reviews, vessel-readiness preparation, and cross-functional coordination with Portland HQ on a rotational offshore schedule. Requires 5+ years leading hazardous offshore operations and 10+ years performing hazardous offshore operations, plus travel up to 50% offshore and 300+ miles offshore; relocation assistance provided for Portland, OR location.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience leading hazardous offshore operations
- 10+ years of experience performing hazardous offshore operations
- Ability to travel up to 50% offshore
- Ability to travel 300+ miles offshore, outside of helicopter Search and Rescue range
- Demonstrated record of developing and promoting a culture of safety within organizations
