Job Summary
Remote independent contractor role for Building Estimator with flooring industry experience. Responsibilities include taking off from 2D building plans using Adobe Acrobat Pro and Measure Square, generating detailed estimates and quotes in Micronet, maintaining project records in Google Sheets and SharePoint, and preparing quotes/tenders for project management and client communication. Will liaise with an onshore team via Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and WhatsApp, attend regular progress meetings, and ensure deadlines are met. Requires proven flooring-estimating experience, strong communication, and ability to adapt to new systems. Availability for core AU business hours and disclosure of any existing client work is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in estimating for flooring projects.
- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat Pro (measuring tool) and Measure Square.
- Experience using Micronet or similar accounting software.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with an onshore team.
