Offshore Combo Fitter

Job Summary
Study engineering drawings, interpret blueprints, and perform mathematical calculations to determine materials and task sequences for offshore steel structures and piping. Measure, cut, fit, and install structural components and pipes per specifications, while straightening warped parts and repairing assemblies using cutting torches and hand tools. Lay out and install mechanical systems, inspect sites for obstructions, and verify workpiece conformance using measuring tapes and squares. Effectively communicate verbally and in writing, and perform other duties assigned by the supervisor. This role requires 5+ years of pipefitter experience and 2+ years offshore exposure, with work performed outdoors in varying Gulf of Mexico conditions.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Pipefitter experience
- Demonstrated ability to pass a written and practical pipe fitter or a structural fitter test
- 2+ years prior offshore fitter or welder experience
- Ability to measure, fit and install piping and structural materials
- Ability to read and understand drawings
- Ability to pull measurements, elevations and coordinates
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Experience in operating hand torches, power tools and rigging
- Knowledge of fabrication materials
- Must be able to pass all Offshore trainings
- Valid TWIC card
- Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally 50-75 pounds
- Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
Desired Qualifications
- Highschool diploma or GED
- 3+ years prior offshore experience, with one year within the last six months
