Job Summary
Set up and operate web and sheet-fed offset printing presses according to production specifications and manufacturing standards. Monitor quality and quantity of finished products, record time and materials using automated data collection systems, and perform routine daily and monthly maintenance while collaborating with the maintenance staff. Ensure high-quality output, maintain equipment performance, and support efficient production processes across multiple print platforms. Work overtime as needed to meet production requirements and be prepared to work any of the three shifts.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ months of manufacturing equipment operation experience
- High school graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
- Able to follow written instructions
- Detail oriented with focus on quality
- Problem solving skills
- Must be proficient in the use of a PC
- Able to detect subtle differences between colors, and achieve a match
- Must be able to lift materials and equipment weighing up to a maximum of 50 lbs
- Must be able to push/pull heavy materials, supplies or equipment
- Must be able to bend, grasp, and reach
- Must be able to use personal protective equipment (PPE) including hearing protection, eye protection, hand protection and safety-toe footwear
- Must be available for 2nd shift (2:30 PM – 10:30 PM) or 3rd shift (10:30 PM – 6:30 AM)
- Must be able to work overtime as needed
- Must be able to work any of the three shifts as needed for production or training
