Job Summary
Officer, Wealth role overseeing a team responsible for daily corporate actions and related customer services. Responsibilities include supervising a team to meet SLA/SOS requirements, training and coaching staff, allocating resources, approving and executing corporate actions instructions, monitoring offshore teams, ensuring compliance and procedures, contributing to workflow planning, and identifying operational improvements and cost-efficiency opportunities. Requires extensive knowledge of global securities and derivatives, strong leadership and communication abilities, and proficiency with Excel/industry tools (Bloomberg, iFAS, GHSS, Euclid, CMT). Mandarin proficiency is a plus; HKMA/SFC licensing preferred. Opening at HSBC with career development in a diversified environment.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent understanding of global securities and derivatives markets and products including market practice details
- At least 5 years experience in securities fields
- Proven track record in managing subordinates
- Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with custodians, customers and service providers
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in spoken and written English; Mandarin preferred
- Strong MS Excel and Word skills; familiarity with GHSS, Euclid, Bloomberg, iFAS, CMT
- Preferably licensed member of HKMA or SFC or equivalent organization for those with close customer contact
