Officer - Security Entertainment (On-Call)

Job Summary
The Entertainment Security Officer protects guests, Team Members, property, and performers in Venetian Resort entertainment venues and event spaces. Responsibilities include operating security screening checkpoints, crowd control, VIP escorts, incident investigations, emergency response, and enforcing policies. Requires fitness to perform security tasks, ability to perform arrests/detention, coordination with Security Management, and completion of required training including a Security Academy; strong English communication and guest-service skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- 21 years of age
- Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must be able to obtain/possess a valid Nevada Driver’s License, Nevada Gaming Control Board Registration, Alcohol Awareness Card, and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy
- Prior experience in civilian or military law enforcement, casino/hotel security, industrial security, or related field preferred
- Demonstrated ability to investigate incidents, interview witnesses and draft legible, factual reports
- Knowledge of general first aid preferred
- Familiarity with federal, state and local laws pertaining to law enforcement and gaming
- Must be able to work with others, communicate well, give direction, review the work of others, and provide guidance and counsel when needed to achieve department goals and objectives
- Possess skills to serve the public trust and establish peace
- Must be able to address stressful situations with others with dignity and the utmost tact and politeness
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays
