Job Summary
Officer, Securities & Derivatives Analyst, Operations in Citi Japan supports settlement, clearing, and investigation of securities transactions. The role emphasizes daily settlement and reconciliation, investigation of transaction issues with stakeholders, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements, client and internal reporting support, ownership of assigned processes with objective of stable operations, and contributions to process improvements. The team focuses on custody and securities services, asset servicing (dividends, corporate actions, tax-related processing), client servicing, and account maintenance, with opportunities for leadership and global exposure through structured training and OJT.
Required Qualifications
- University degree or equivalent experience
- Basic PC skills (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Native-level Japanese and basic English reading comprehension
- Experience in financial services operations (banking, securities, etc.) or back office/process-oriented roles (preferred)
- Basic understanding of financial products or accounting
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under time constraints and manage multiple tasks
- Good communication skills and teamwork mindset
- Willingness to learn and develop professional expertise
- Control-oriented mindset with awareness of operational risk
- Proactive attitude toward process improvement
- Structured training and OJT to build securities operations expertise

- Education in Business, Accounting or Finance preferred (not mandatory)
