Job Summary
Gathers historical expenditure information, researches market conditions, and manages solicitation processes (posting, Q&A, bid tabulations) to support procurement decisions. Leads pre-bid meetings, analyzes vendor responses, and makes recommendations. Negotiates contracts (RFPs, Invitations to Negotiate) and ensures contract documentation, renewals, and ERP data (Lawson) are accurate. Maintains contract records from inception to completion, responds to public records requests and vendor protests, provides guidance to Procurement Assistants, and performs post-audit and compliance activities. Exercises governance over life-cycle costs/total cost of ownership where multiple variables exist, coordinates with internal customers and stakeholders, and communicates outcomes through committee meetings and vendor interactions. Requires strong experience in purchasing, supplier/vendor management, and ERP-based contract administration.
Required Qualifications
- Two (2) years of increasingly responsible experience in purchasing.
