Job Summary
Act as the public contact for the district and region office via in-person, phone, and computer interactions. Order supplies, perform general filing and typing, create forms and documents, schedule meetings, and make travel arrangements. Maintain confidentiality of office proceedings while researching policies, union contracts, tort claims, and cost reports. Operate office machines including computers, copiers, and scanners. Prepare vendor invoices with appropriate coding and data entry, ensure payroll entries and timecards are correct, attend meetings, create agendas, take minutes, and distribute materials. Monitor area budgets weekly for overages and report balances regularly to the maintenance manager. Work is performed in an office environment with some overnight travel required.
Required Qualifications
- Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents
- An associate degree in any field
- An equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid driver license
- LEDS (Law Enforcement Data System) verification
- Education verification

- Exceptional internal and external customer service skills
- Strong computer skills including data entry and using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Experience coordinating many different activities and proactively working independently and within a team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
