Job Summary
Receive, sort, and deliver all incoming mail and packages according to assigned floors and time frames. Wrap, seal, weigh, affix postage, and dispatch outgoing mail in accordance with postal regulations. Prepare special inter-office pouches, process overnight items for carriers like FedEx and UPS, and log all items for accuracy. Organize and distribute supplies, monitor inventory, and estimate runtime for photocopy jobs while checking quality and producing bound copies. Operate facsimile machines, send and receive faxes, and generate activity reports for billing charges. Handle minor photocopy machine maintenance, document scanning, and perform administrative duties such as setting up conference rooms, answering phones, and moving supplies as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school Diploma or equivalent
- 0-1 year experience working in a mailroom or professional office environment
- Excellent customer service, professional attitude and appearance
- Ability to work overtime & meet deadlines
- Requires regular twisting/turning/squatting/bending/reaching/lifting and prolonged periods of sitting, standing or walking
- May regularly lift and carry up to 20 lbs. and move (push mail cart) over 50 lbs
- May occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
- Frequent use of hand and foot controls
- May occasionally need to climb stairs
Desired Qualifications
- Some knowledge of metering, weighting, logging and other shipping procedures
- Some computer skills
