Job Summary
Office Products Specialist drives sales of office and janitorial supplies within a defined territory. Responsible for acquiring new accounts, penetrating the existing customer base, maintaining thorough product knowledge, completing required paperwork, and coordinating with Janitorial Specialists to expand market share. Daily duties include conducting sales calls, planning visits with a defined purpose/products focus, maintaining CRM records, delivering small orders in rural areas, assisting with customer installations on site as needed, attending conferences and sales meetings, and communicating any product or territory issues to management. Travel is ~85% of work time, and a valid driver’s license with a good driving record is required. The role emphasizes project a professional image, self-evaluation of sales skills, and collaboration with support teams to grow market presence.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years sales experience in janitorial industry preferred
- Business development experience
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer relation skills
- Accuracy skills
- Outgoing personality
- Initiative and ability to work without direct supervision
- Current driver's license and good driving record
