Job Summary
Lead Employment Specialist overseeing office operations, veteran program performance, and compliance with DOL policies. Manages staff, supports outreach, ensures grant deliverables, and coordinates program activities including client assessments, job readiness training, counseling, and job placement. Builds employer partnerships, supervises ES staff, maintains accurate records, and ensures reporting and audit readiness. Requires leadership experience, strong communication, data-analysis capabilities, and ability to manage multiple priorities; Bachelor’s degree preferred; experience with veterans or homeless populations is highly preferred. Compensation ranges to be determined by experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in social work, human services, counseling, or related field
- Minimum of 1 year in a leadership role
- At least 2 years of experience in workforce development, human services, or veteran services
- Experience working with veterans or homeless populations preferred
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
- Ability to evaluate and monitor performance data
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Knowledge of employment barriers facing veterans
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry systems
- Ability to manage competing priorities and team workflow
