Job Summary
Office Manager/Finance Secretary duties include handling administration for a school setting with a strong emphasis on accuracy in bookkeeping and communications. The role requires high school-level education, ability to manage multiple tasks in a stressful environment, and strong typing, spelling, grammar, and basic math skills. Responsibilities include applying independent judgment, interacting courteously with parents and school staff, protecting confidentiality, and performing tasks with basic computer applications and office equipment. Candidates should have experience or familiarity with accounting/bookkeeping principles, strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Must provide criminal history background check and fingerprinting. Position is full-time and permanent with two openings, remote-friendly. Employment location listed as Eisenhower Middle School with remote options available.
Required Qualifications
- High School transcript or GED
- Ability to exercise independent judgment
- Ability to deal with parents and school system employees
- Manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively in stressful situations
- Extensive oral and written communication skills
- Basic math including fractions, percentages, and ratios; read technical information; compose documents
- Knowledge of accounting/bookkeeping principles and practices
- Knowledge of office machines and standard computer applications
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Be self-motivated and able to handle several projects concurrently
- Follow instructions and complete assignments
- Protect confidentiality of information pertaining to students, staff and program matters
- Exercise initiative and sound judgment
- Respond resourcefully to varying conditions
