Job Summary
Dental practice-based Office Manager needed in New York with a strong track record (5+ years) in dental office management. Primary duties include administrative leadership, staff training and performance reviews, coordinating treatment plans and patient consent, managing insurance eligibility and prior authorizations, audits of staff performance and checklists, onboarding new hires, ensuring adherence to office policies, and optimizing scheduling and patient flow. The ideal candidate will lead a large team, implement accountability systems for staff and doctors, maintain OSHA-compliant practices, oversee inventory and office supplies, and deliver exceptional patient and staff experiences through organization, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
Required Qualifications
- Must have 5+ years managing a dental office
- Familiar with dental assisting and xrays
- Experience in treatment plan coordination and sales
- Managing large team with checklists and audits
- Expert knowledge of dental PPO insurances and codes
- Excellent planning and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to use organizational tools such as Google Calendar, Open Dental, Word and Excel
- Ability to multitask and prioritize; strong time management
- Ability to delegate authority while ensuring tasks are completed
- Maintain confidentiality; operate independently and within a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; conflict resolution
- High level of professionalism and integrity
