Job Summary
Manage scheduling, appointments, and coordination of meetings for the Security Assistance Office Director and staff. Prepare and process travel authorizations, obtain visas and passports, and track administrative correspondence and briefing materials. Maintain office records per FAM guidelines, assist with personnel onboarding and security clearance processing, and coordinate IT equipment installation. Handle multiple tasks independently while maintaining high attention to detail. Perform 40-hour workweeks Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. at the Department of State in Washington, DC.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree (Associate's or Bachelor's degree) in business administration, international relations, financial management, accounting, or human resource management
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in an administrative or program support role, preferably within the federal government
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to quickly learn proprietary government systems
- Secret Clearance
- Pass a pre-employment drug screening
- Acceptable background check results
- Ability to obtain and maintain the appropriate clearance levels required
- Ability to obtain access to military installations
- 1920 hours of services for each position per performance period (average of 40 hours each week x 52 weeks – 10 U.S. federally observed holidays)
- Eight hours per day between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding Government holidays
- Ability to work alternate eight-hour shifts as specified elsewhere in this contract
