Job Summary
Manage and coordinate prior authorizations for anti-obesity medications and related therapies while supporting workflow optimization with the obesity medicine clinic. Assist patients in navigating treatment options, including pharmacotherapy and bariatric surgery, and serve as a point of contact for those enrolled in medical and surgical weight loss programs. Act as a key liaison between obesity medicine providers, bariatric surgeons, primary care providers, and specialists to enhance program development. Identify opportunities for growth, partnerships, and service expansion, and assist leadership in tracking program outcomes and participating in quality improvement initiatives. Requires familiarity with anti-obesity medications, EMR systems, and data tracking. Certified Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation and Certified Medical Assistant certification required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 3 years in Healthcare/Medical-Physician's Office
- Certified Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation
- Certified Medical Assistant
- Familiarity with anti-obesity medications and obesity treatment guidelines
- Experience coordinating care between medical and surgical programs
- Background in healthcare marketing, outreach or business development
- Experience with EMR systems and data tracking/reporting
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Business or Healthcare
