Job Summary
Coordinate services of the assigned practice while working as a Medical Assistant or Front Desk position based on practice volume. Monitor clinical and clerical staff compliance with regulatory requirements and quality control standards. Prepare patients and equipment for exams, administer treatment under physician direction, and maintain medical supply inventory. Provide phone triage for scheduling, answer calls, collect co-pays, check patients in, and schedule new patients and return visits. Accurately post charges, receipts, and CPT/ICD codes, balance receipts, and verify insurance coverage and authorizations. Pull charts for scheduled patients, ensure required reports are present, and train new employees.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association
- 1-2 years of healthcare experience
- 1-2 years of extensive customer service experience
- Experience in multiple areas of pre-access (scheduling, pre-registration, financial clearance)
