Job Summary
Coordinate daily practice operations by assisting the Manager with interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating clerical personnel. Manage front office and clinical coverage, including scheduling, inventory control, and overseeing check-in/check-out processes. Support patient care services by performing charge entry, scrubbing, and collection activities while reviewing accounts receivable and arranging payment plans for outstanding balances. Facilitate clinical in-services, resolve interoffice disputes, and recommend process improvements to maximize physician efficiency. Maintain HIPAA compliance and complete required AP training within designated timeframes. Occasional evening or weekend work required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Minimum three years of work experience in a medical office setting
- Minimum one year of work experience in an allergy practice
- Previous supervisory experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Analytical ability
- Ability to utilize an electronic medical record, practice management systems and Microsoft applications
- Understanding of scheduling, billing, collections, and patient flow in a medical practice
- Patient centered approach to problem solving and process development
- Professional appearance
- Normal range of hearing and eyesight
- Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds
- Occasional evening or weekend work
Desired Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree
