Job Summary
Respond to resident inquiries and resolve complaints while enforcing community rules and regulations. Receive and enter payments into the property management system, then work with prospects through the residency application process, including home showings, application submissions, and lease document preparation. Make outbound prospect calls and track all activities in the system. This role manages the entire collections program for the local multi-family property owner in Perry, MI. Prior experience in residential or mobile home collections and familiarity with Michigan eviction processes are optimal.
Required Qualifications
- Highly organized and disciplined
- Self-motivated, proactive and able to follow directions well
- Excellent communications skills
- Computer skills, including Microsoft products
- Bending, kneeling, stretching, squatting, walking, and lifting up to fifteen (15) pounds, and lifting over fifteen (15) pounds occasionally
- Highly organized
- Firm, but respectful in all forms of communication
- HIGH accountability and follow-through/follow-up
- Comfortable with difficult conversations
- Thick-skinned, but compassionate and empathetic
- Ability to remain calm in highly emotional or confrontational situations
- Results-driven
- Prior experience in a collections role in a residential or MH setting
- Familiar with Michigan legal process and eviction process
- Pre-employment drug test
