Job Summary
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in offices, hallways, conference rooms, and common areas. Empty, clean, and reline trash and recycling receptacles throughout the office. Dust and wipe down desks, tables, window sills, ledges, and other surfaces. Clean, sanitize, and stock restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors. Clean and sanitize kitchen/break rooms, including counters, sinks, tables, appliances' exterior, and floors. Wipe down high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, elevator buttons, and railings. Refill soap dispensers, paper towel dispensers, toilet paper, and other restroom and kitchen supplies. Monitor supply levels and notify supervisor when cleaning products or paper goods need to be replenished. Report any maintenance issues (e.g., leaks, broken fixtures, damaged walls/floors, malfunctioning equipment) to the supervisor in a timely manner. Follow all safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals and equipment properly. Work Monday–Friday, 4:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. in Queens.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in office cleaning, custodial, or janitorial work
- Ability to work consistently during the assigned schedule: Monday–Friday, 4:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean, orderly environment
- Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and demeanor
- Able to read and write
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 4 hours at a time)
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and lift or move items (generally up to 25–30 pounds) such as boxes, trash bags, and cleaning supplies
- Ability to push and pull cleaning carts and vacuum cleaners
- Comfortable using step stools or small ladders for dusting and cleaning higher surfaces (if applicable)
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of applicable background checks and reference checks
Desired Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Experience using commercial cleaning equipment (e.g., floor buffers, vacuums, carpet cleaners)
