Job Summary
Provide administrative support for content supervisors; perform routine typing, filing, scheduling meetings, recording minutes, and ordering/inventory of materials. Process purchase orders and request quotes for content-related purchases. Oversee payroll procedures for two departments and extension programs. Prepare and process task codes. Support department budgets oversight. Handle administrative details independently, including screening calls, composing letters/memos, scheduling appointments, maintaining office records/files/reports, compiling information for projects, and maintaining department website information. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Five (5) years office experience
- Post-secretarial training a plus
- Capacity to act independently with regard to continuing assignments requiring organization of materials, handling routine administrative details, preparation of reports, and sound decision-making
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Advanced Microsoft Word skills (merges, tables, sorting, labels)
- Publisher

- Learn new software applications
- Strong business English, spelling, and punctuation
- Positive interpersonal communication with staff, educators, and the public
- Good organizational and self-starter skills
