Job Summary
Coordinate sacramental registrations for First Communion, Confirmation, and Baptisms while managing documentation, seating plans, and correspondence with families and clergy. Prepare and distribute the weekly parish bulletin, liturgical materials, and ministry schedules. Support children's and youth programs by organizing volunteer scheduling, training, and resource distribution. Serve as Volunteer Coordinator, conducting interviews and screening applicants in accordance with Diocesan guidelines. Assist with wedding and convalidation documentation and conduct teacher interviews for the Catholic School Board as needed. Maintain church and sacristy supplies for weekend Masses and liturgical celebrations. Work 25 hours per week with flexible scheduling; health, dental, and pension benefits provided.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds
- Strong attention to detail, and ability to organize and prioritize efficiently
- Strong Communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong computer skills - particularly in preparing, editing, and managing documents and parish communications
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
Desired Qualifications
- Post Secondary education in a relevant field preferred
- 2-3 years of prior secretarial/office experience preferred
