Job Summary

Answer and screen phone calls by the third ring, directing inquiries to appropriate staff while ensuring information accuracy. Schedule patient appointments and register patients, updating and verifying system demographics and insurance details. Perform billing functions including entering charges and payments, collecting co-pays, reconciling batches, and preparing deposits. Prepare referrals and obtain required pre-certifications. May train and direct office assistants at sites, including preparation of work and training schedules, serving as an office resource and mentoring role model. Requires 0-2 years of medical office experience and strong multi-tasking abilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Must have strong multi-tasking abilities
  • Must have computer literacy
  • 0-2 years Medical Office experience
  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to answer and screen phone calls
  • Must be able to direct calls to appropriate staff members
