Office Assistant/Patient Navigator

Job Summary
Greet clients in a courteous manner, direct them to appropriate workstations, and manage the new client waitlist to ensure accurate appointment processing. Complete Express Check Ins, collect co-pays, process transactions for medical record copying fees, and file patient information accurately in the EHR. Schedule patient transportation and resolve day-to-day issues while maintaining confidentiality of all client data. Cover lunches as requested and attend the waiting area to minimize wait times. This role requires evening coverage on a flexible schedule and prefers bilingual English-to-Spanish candidates.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or the equivalent
- Must have excellent data entry and computer skills
- Must have strong communication and customer service skills
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual English-to-Spanish and Spanish-to-English preferred
- Must have a high school diploma or the equivalent with some college course work in a related field preferred
- Previous experience in a medical office setting preferred
- Previous experience performing reception duties is preferred
- Prior experience scheduling patients and dealing with medical records is preferred
