Job Summary
Cargo Agent handles computer data entry, prepares flight documents, interfaces with U.S. Customs, prepares import/export documentation, and accepts/distributes cargo in accordance with regulations; solicits orders or talks with customers to complete sales, quotes prices and terms, and prepares sales contracts; moves cargo up to 70 lbs; requires ability to drive cargo handling equipment, work rotating shifts, and meet security and license requirements.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age if position requires driving cargo handling equipment
- Valid driver’s license and Port Authority or Airport Authority permit to use ramp side service roads
- Ability to drive all cargo handling equipment
- Ability to learn PC skills
- Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays and days off
- Physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs
- Compliance with site security procedures and DOT regulations
