Job Summary
Conduct collections activities 50% of the time while managing branch Fire Alarm invoicing, tracking department funds, and resolving financial discrepancies. Greet clients, answer phone calls and emails, and maintain notes on accounts to reflect collection efforts. Manage spreadsheets for accounts payable, purchase orders, and equipment inventory, ensuring confidentiality of employee files and vendor accounts. Compile reports, perform data entry and filing tasks, and assist with projects, event support, and contract creations. Shift hours are 8am to 4:30pm Mon-Fri with weekly pay.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years' experience in an administrative setting with a focus on collections
- Collections will be performed 50% of the time in this role
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's or associate degree preferred, but not required
- Ability to greet visitors, clients, and colleagues in a friendly and courteous manner
- Ability to work with a team and independently, in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of statistics and data analysis
- Basic understanding of applicable state and federal collections laws including the Fair Debt Collection Practices and the Fair Credit Reporting Act
- Ability to proofread
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
- Basic understanding of office equipment
- Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing
- Ability to work independently and identify and solve problems
- Ability to organize and prioritize work
