Job Summary
Administrative Assistant for Scott Electric Company's generator distribution department. Responsible for handling incoming calls and emails related to generator sales, service, and delivery; preparing quotes, sales orders, and purchase orders; maintaining organized files; coordinating scheduling with installers and logistics partners; tracking inventory and shipments; assisting with permit applications and compliance; supporting the sales team with product literature and pricing updates; data entry in CRM/spreadsheets; preparing reports and internal communications; maintaining office supplies and materials for the distribution team; requires strong MS Office skills, excellent communication, organization, and the ability to work independently or in a team in a fast-paced equipment-based environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 1–3 years of administrative or office support experience (equipment, construction, or distribution industry experience is a plus)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Comfortable working with technical product information
- Professional, friendly, and customer‐focused
- Self‐motivated with strong follow‐through
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn generator product lines and industry terminology
