Offensive AI Engineer
Remote
Job Summary
Offensive AI Engineer role focused on building LLM-powered autonomous hacking agents and AI-enabled attack systems. Responsibilities include developing autonomous agents capable of full attacks (reconnaissance through post-exploitation and reporting), designing agent architecture (planning loops, memory, state management), prompting and orchestration of attacker workflows, tool integration (Burp, ffuf, nuclei, sqlmap, custom exploits, browser automation), AI feature development, rigorous evaluation/benchmarking, false positive reduction, production reliability, and broader applied AI and tool research. Two-track depth in either offensive security (pentesting, red teaming, bug bounty) or AI/software engineering (production-grade systems, deployments, CI/CD), with emphasis on rigor, end-to-end ownership, and strong communication. Remote-friendly culture with true remote flexibility. Hands-on experience with LLMs, Python or TypeScript, and experience building AI solutions are essential; candidates should thrive in a fast-moving environment and contribute across both offensive security and AI engineering domains.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience building with LLMs (e.g., Claude Code, Codex)
- Engineering ability in Python or TypeScript
- Experience building AI solutions (prompts, tool use, agent loops, AI evaluation)
- Strong ownership and self-starter mindset
- Big-picture thinker comfortable with ambiguity
- Clear written communication
- Depth in one of two areas (Offensive security or AI/software engineering)
- If offensive security: professional offensive security experience (penetration testing, red teaming, bug bounty)
- If AI/software engineering: strong production engineering (end-to-end systems, deployments, CI/CD)
- Nice to have: AI agent frameworks experience, production evaluation of LLMs, cloud, CI/CD
