Job Summary
Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all equipment and company assets while keeping machinery running and ensuring a safe work environment. Identify necessary parts, supplies, and services to complete work orders in a timely manner, meeting or exceeding pre-established deadlines to reduce downtime and support production goals. Perform physical tasks including lifting, reaching, rotating, walking, climbing, bending, and squatting in a cold, hot, wet, dusty, and noisy setting. Utilize basic hand and power tools such as drills, grinders, drill presses, band saws, and multi-meters. Requires 3 months of mechanical experience or enrollment in an automotive/mechanical degree or training.
Required Qualifications
- 3 months mechanical experience
- enrolled or completed an automotive/mechanical degree or training
- Must identify all parts, supplies and services required to maintain equipment in assigned area
- completes work orders in a timely manner meeting or exceeding pre-established deadlines
- Must be able to use basic hand and power tools to include drills, grinders, drill press, band saws, multi-meter, and other tools
- Must be able to lift, reaching, rotating, walking, climbing, bending, and squatting throughout the shift
- All applicants must provide their government identification number so the system can verify any previous Tyson employment history
- Tyson Team Members must be separated from the company for a minimum of 180 calendar days
- No rehire for former Tyson Team Members that were termed for gross misconduct
