Job Summary
Off-Track Railroad Spray Technician responsibilities include mixing and loading spray trucks with water and approved solutions, applying herbicides to off-track rights-of-way with hose-reel systems, performing vegetation management and light chainsaw work, handling spray hoses across uneven terrain, driving between job sites, participating in daily briefings, and completing end-of-day reports. Training is provided. Benefits include medical/dental/vision plans, 401(k), PTO, and per diem. Requires a valid driver’s license, ability to pass background checks and drug screens, and willingness to travel 4–6 weeks at a time.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with minimum 5 years of clean driving history
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, and federal background check
- Ability to travel and work away from home for 4–6 weeks at a time (hotel accommodations and per diem provided)
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to operate spray trucks and equipment as described
