Job Summary
Walk the OTB floor greeting customers, answering questions, and building rapport while accurately handling cash transactions and maintaining bank counts. Clearly communicate terminal operations, Winners Club benefits, and site amenities. Calmly listen to guest concerns and troubleshoot minor repairs on wagering terminals and player tracking systems. Keep the gaming area clean, stocked, and secured. Ensure compliance with all gaming laws, company policies, and federal regulations. Maintain good working relations with staff, employees, and regulators. Work indoors for more than 40 hours weekly in a busy environment, lifting 50 lbs and performing duties on various floor surfaces.
Required Qualifications
- Friendly personality comfortable initiating greetings and conversations
- Experience using basic tools
- Previous proven experience accurately counting, handling, and keeping track of money
- Ability to quickly learn, pari-mutuel equipment, and rules and regulations
- Basic understanding of, and experience using, computers and computer programs
- At least 21 years of age
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, including both written and verbal forms
- Professional appearance and personal hygiene as deemed appropriate by supervisor
- Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
- Verify right to work in the United States
- Must be able to work long hours under busy conditions
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in customer service role
- Previous pari-mutuel experience
