Job Summary
Provide off-site gynecology call coverage for inpatient and surgical gynecology, within a 30-minute response window; perform urgent/emergent GYN procedures (D&C, laparoscopy, hysterectomy) and manage post-operative/inpatient care; collaborate with anesthesia, OR teams, laborists, and CNMs; serve as backup for OB hospitalist and CNMs; coordinate handoffs and post-operative care planning; shift-based call coverage with 12- or 24-hour blocks; compensation is shift-based with malpractice coverage; requires board-certified/eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology and an active Nevada medical license.
Required Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
- Active Nevada medical license or eligible
- Demonstrated competency in emergent gynecologic surgery
- Ability to work independently in a hospital-based setting
- Strong collaboration with laborist and midwifery teams
Desired Qualifications
- Prior hospital-based or laborist experience
- Experience managing escalated surgical GYN cases
- Comfort with rapid operative decision-making
