Job Summary
Off-shift Production Supervisor at Eaton’s ES AMER ESS in Waukesha, WI. Leads production staff across shifts to meet safety, quality, on-time delivery, inventory and cost goals; drives continuous improvement, lean/six sigma (MVP) projects; manages staffing, training, and budgetary controls; ensures effective utilization of overtime, attendance, and resources; maintains quality and quantity of manufactured parts to meet engineering specs; analyzes operating reports and controls costs; implements modern manufacturing methods to reduce costs and increase throughput; strong focus on lean, operational excellence, 5S, and value stream mapping; requires HS diploma or GED, 1 year supervisory experience, and 5 years manufacturing experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- One (1) year of supervisory work experience
- Five (5) years of manufacturing experience
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution or completion of Eaton’s Front Line Leader Associate program
- Relevant experience in shop operations such as machining, assembly, fabrication as well as manufacturing systems such as Lean, Shop Floor Control, MRP, routings, BOMs, SPC, and ISO 9000
- Previous leadership experience in manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of employment law such as OSHA, FMLA, harassment, etc.
- Experience with lean manufacturing / Operational Excellence in 5S+, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Visual Management, etc.
- Experience in Engineered to order environment.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work alone, or in a team environment with limited supervision.
- Candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and must be able to function in a multi-tasking capacity.
- Excellent computer and data analysis skills. Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
