Off Shift Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary
Supervise and direct off-shift maintenance personnel to coordinate troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance that minimizes production downtime. Monitor and track work orders for timely completion, act as the point of contact for emergency breakdowns, and provide leadership during complex troubleshooting tasks. Review and prioritize maintenance requests, maintain accurate records of repairs and parts inventory, and collaborate with day shift supervisors for smooth operational transitions. Train staff on equipment and safety protocols while analyzing recurring issues to implement corrective actions. This role requires 2nd shift coverage with 3rd shift support, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with availability for emergency responses at all hours.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance
- at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Familiarity with PLCs, motor controls, and equipment schematics
- Experience in troubleshooting and repairing complex systems
- Ability to lead, motivate, and communicate effectively with a team
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations (OSHA, NEC, etc.)
- Proficiency with CMMS and other maintenance software systems
- Must be available to work during off shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to respond to emergency breakdowns and unplanned outages at all hours
- Occasional lifting and physical activity required
Desired Qualifications
