Job Summary
Operate haul trucks to move shot rock from mine faces to the crusher, performing daily pre- and post-inspections with appropriate documentation. Service and maintain equipment as trained, while following all company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe working procedures. Maintain competency in operating rigid frame and/or articulated haul trucks, with willingness to be cross-trained on other heavy equipment. Perform general laborer and clean-up duties on the ground and in the plant as directed. Work outside in all weather conditions, tolerate loud noises, and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to walk, sit, climb, bend, and stoop, for extended periods of time throughout the workday, as required to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours as needed
- Must be able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document
- Pass pre-employment drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- Candidate with heavy equipment operating experience or mining experience are preferred
- Previous experience operating both rigid frame haul trucks and/or articulating haul trucks preferred
- Willingness to be cross trained on other heavy equipment
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required
- Dedication to safe work practices
- Effective communication skills applicable to position
- Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency
- Must be able to work outside in all types of weather and tolerate being exposed to loud noises
