Off-Road Dispatcher

Job Summary
Coordinate heavy equipment logistics and fleet operations using HCSS Dispatcher to source off-road owned or rental equipment (e.g., excavators, bulldozers, cranes) for Operations. Schedule transports, track equipment utilization, verify returns, and document discrepancies. Liaise with project superintendents to ensure site-specific requirements are met; negotiate with vendors to secure competitive pricing; create purchase orders and process receipts. Manage a high volume of inbound/outbound communications, provide backup for the On-Road Dispatcher, and cross-train on other fleet admin tasks. Develop and review SOPs for the Fleet Dispatcher role and perform true-up daily reporting, inventory control, and equipment retirement/retirements. Ensure fuel ordering as requested and monitor safety, procedures, and policy compliance. Proficient use of HCSS Dispatcher and Telematics to optimize allocation and reduce rental costs. Attend meetings and support continuous improvement across Fleet Operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED plus technical education; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Computer Skills: Skilled knowledge of computerized accounting systems and administrative software; Working knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software; Word Processing software; Outlook
