Job Summary
Experienced security role focused on crime prevention, customer service, and hands-on security operations in San Diego County. Responsibilities include patrolling premises on foot, monitoring access points, writing activity reports, responding to alarms and emergencies, conducting searches (pat-downs and metal detectors when applicable), enforcing applicable laws and company policies, coordinating with law enforcement, and maintaining a professional presence during private events, schools, estates, and other details. Requires valid police credentials (HR218), CCW/BSIS permits, BSIS training, and a GED or high school diploma; positions available as full-time or part-time armed and/or unarmed security with opportunities for advancement. Salary ranges from $45-$50 per hour with benefits and on-call availability.
Required Qualifications
- Unexpired Police Credentials (HR218)
- Authorization to carry a concealed firearm
- BSIS Guard Card
- Firearms Permit (BSIS)
- BSIS training: 40 hours and latest annual refresher
- GED or High School Diploma / Transcript
- English verbal and written skills
- Reliable transportation
- On-time work history
- Ability to perform essential security duties (patrolling, access control, incident reporting)
- Experience as Off Duty Officer or Retired Police Officer preferred
- California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) permits
- Ability to work full-time or part-time armed/unarmed security
- Demonstrated professional appearance and demeanor
- Access to necessary equipment (mobile phone, flashlight)
