Job Summary
Monitor campus facilities, grounds, and adjacent areas during assigned periods and student events to ensure compliance with safety guidelines. Patrol locations including classrooms, detention centers, and athletic events while detaining students breaking the law and intervening in conflicts to de-escalate behaviors. Collaborate with school staff, administration, and law enforcement to recommend security plans, investigate criminal activities, and conduct personal property searches. Respond to incidents such as medical emergencies, vandalism, and alarms by taking appropriate action and documenting activities in incident reports. Communicate safety policies to students, staff, and visitors, and make presentations on topics like drug abuse and emergency drills. Provide traffic and crowd control for large events and transport students to home or custodial parties as directed. Maintain files and records for audits and participate in unit meetings and training workshops.
Required Qualifications

- Ability to provide transportation to home and/or custodial party following decision by school administration that a student's removal from campus is appropriate
