Job Summary
Conduct armed security patrols on foot or by vehicle while maintaining lawful possession and safe handling of an assigned firearm. Monitor CCTV, alarms, and access control systems to deter criminal activity and control entry points. Observe, respond to threats, and preserve scene integrity when necessary, followed by preparing detailed written reports on incidents and suspicious activity. Greet, engage, and thank customers and visitors in accordance with G.E.T. Principles while de-escalating situations verbally. Maintain a clean, professional post area and coordinate with law enforcement or emergency responders as required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Currently employed as a sworn law-enforcement officer
- Valid State Armed Security Guard License/Card
- Valid firearm permit and meet all state and local firearms requirements
- Successful completion of an approved armed security/firearms training program
- Qualification with assigned firearm as required by SSC and state law
- Pass applicable licensing tests if operating a company-owned or client-provided vehicle
- Verifiable work history
- One (2) years of law enforcement experience
- At least 21 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to operate radios, telephones, and monitoring equipment
- Demonstrate professionalism, restraint, and ethical conduct at all times
- Ability to de-escalate situations verbally prior to using force when appropriate
- Subject to background check, drug screening, firearms qualification, and ongoing compliance requirements
- Veterans may be required to provide a DD214 upon conditional offer of employment
