OEM Sr. Industrial Controls Electrician/Technician

Job Summary

Wiring custom industrial control panels and enclosures, including motors, robotics, sensors, and pneumatic/hydraulic valves. Install and wire industrial control components on automated assembly equipment, interpret electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics, and assemble machine components. Assist with startup and debug equipment on the production floor and at customer sites, while performing occasional on-site service. Meet project deadlines and quality expectations, adhering to safety guidelines and established procedures. Maintain thorough knowledge of the National Electric Code, NFPA 79, and NFPA 70E arc flash safety. Work as a team player or independently within the OEM Machine Building Team, supporting the design and build of custom automation systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of five plus (5+) years wiring industrial control panels and automation equipment
  • OEM experience
  • Ability to read and understand electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics
  • Understanding of Safety Equipment & Circuits
  • Ability to generate wire labels on a PC and be familiar with Microsoft Office
  • Wiring of Robotic systems
  • Thorough understanding of National Electric Code and NFPA 79
  • Trained in Arc Flash Safety, NFPA 70E
  • Formal training in wiring techniques and codes used in industrial environments
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 7:00 am-3:30 pm; Monday-Friday
  • Up to 5% Travel: Minimal-Local/Regional, and possible International
  • Eligible for overtime pay and Full-Time/On-Site
  • Must be dependable, highly attentive to detail and able to work as part of a team and independently

  • Consistently meet project deadlines and quality expectations
  • Interpretation of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical drawings and schematics
  • Installation of wiring/piping and mechanical assembly of machine components
  • Assist with startup and debug equipment on the production floor and at a customer's site
  • Occasional on-site service

Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to use AutoCAD Electrical
  • UL 508 panel wiring
  • Ability to understand and modify PLC, HMI, and robot programs
  • Piping of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
