Job Summary
Cut downtime and scrap, boost first-pass yield, and increase run rates through targeted continuous improvement projects. Drive SMED to reduce changeover times and improve schedule adherence. Design, install, and sustain manufacturing systems that are safe, stable, and cost-effective while modeling 5S and safety practices. Stand up preventive and predictive maintenance practices with Operations and author process documentation including PFMEAs and SOPs. Lead incident investigations to perform root cause analysis and drive corrective actions. Develop error-proofing to prevent escapes and advance GMP and food-safety culture. This hands-on role supports reliability and process optimization across Extrusion and Converting at Novolex, focusing on translating data into action to safeguard safety, quality, and customer trust.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- 5–10+ years of manufacturing experience preferred
- 5+ years in blown film extrusion highly preferred
- Strength in mechanical/electrical systems and process engineering
- Hands-on Lean leader with a record of facilitating Kaizen and sustaining gains
- Analytical thinker; fluent in structured problem solving and data tools
- Strong communicator and partner who can navigate ambiguity and drive alignment
- Advanced MS Office (Excel, Access, etc.) and related software proficiency
- Background in Food and Beverage Manufacturing
