Job Summary
ODOT prequalified Inspectors for roadway and bridge projects in Central Ohio; responsible for construction administration, inspection, and testing services, reading project drawings and specifications, preparing project records and reports, and providing status updates to the Project Engineer. Strong emphasis on quality control, ability to read blueprints and construction documents, and experience with field/lab testing of concrete, soils, asphalt, aggregate, masonry, and reinforcing steel. Independent work with minimal supervision and effective communication with clients and team.
Required Qualifications
- ODOT prequalified: Project Inspector 1 or 2
- ODOT Structures Inspector
- ODOT Soils and Aggregate Inspector
- ODOT Traffic Signal and Lighting Inspector
- ODOT Construction Engineer Level 1
- Construction inspection experience on ODOT funded projects
- Familiarity with highway construction specifications
- Experience with concrete, asphalt, earthwork, and utility construction engineering services and inspection/testing
- Experience with field and laboratory testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, masonry, structural steel and fireproofing
